Prerequisite: Our Basic
Handgun Safety course or its equivalent, Defensive Handgun 1 & 2.
Eight-hours
of this advanced training will take you into a new level of handgun mastery! This
is for those who are truly committed in becoming more competent with their self-defense
handgun. This class is designed to give you the skills needed in the event of
a lethal confrontation. You'll be subjected to the most likely encountered problems.
You will learn
Advanced Tactics & Gun Handling skills to include:
- Expanded use of movement & cover
- Additional
advanced grounded drills
- Introduction to 90° & 180° turns
- Multiple Target/threat problems
- Single handed shooting &
handgun manipulation including strong hand only & support hand only drawing,
reloading, clearing malfunctions & firing
- Improving your speed,
accuracy & decision making competencies
- Further emphasis &
reinforcement of "Marksmanship, Communication & Movement"
Equipment Necessary for
each individual attending:
- A safe reliable revolver or pistol (we do rent guns - call
to reserve one)
- Sturdy holster, magazine pouch, &
belt (Holster must cover the trigger & remain open when the
handgun is removed.)
- At least 500 rounds of factory loaded
new ammunition
- Minimum of three (3) magazines or speedloaders
- Hearing and eye protection
- Cap/hat with bill
- Bring
your lunch, beverages, and snacks for the day
- Dress for shooting outdoors
- Knee
pads are suggested - some kneeling in gravel
