Skill Level: Advanced
Prerequisite: Our Basic Handgun Safety course, Defensive Handgun 1, & 2 or their equivalent is required. Defenive Handgun 3 is not required but strongly recommended.

Learn to clear buildings as a team

This is an advanced level course designed for those who want to push their skills to the limits. The course is only a brief refresher of Defensive Handgun 1 and 2 and then we'll move into advanced level shooting & training, with qualifications under tighter accuracy & time contrants. During the entire course all handguns will be covered and concealed to simulate real world conditions. The only exception is if you're are sworn law enforcement officer or military personnel who wears a duty belt.

NOTE: Regardless of weather conditions we will train and shoot outdoors. We do have a heated enclosed area to store gear and to get out of the inclement weather during breaks. Please dress appropriately for the weather!

The classroom portion of the course covers:

Review of the four firearm safety rules
Review of tactical safety

Students learn to manipulate thier firearms with only one hand

The range portion of the course covers:

Review of firearms and tactical safety
Brief review of Defensive Handgun 1 & 2 skills/technique
Qualifing under tighter accuracy & time contrants
One handed shooting
Advanced kneeling, use of cover, & movement tactics
Advanced team tactics
Shooting under impaired vision conditions
Transistion to back-up or secondary handgun
Handgun retention & disarms (if time allows)
Mulitple Runs through the Adjudicator

While on the range you'll receive individual coaching and support as we have a high instructor to student ratio.

What you'll need for this course:

A high quality, safe, handgun for EACH student
( Please bring a handgun that works!)
Sturdy belt, holster, and magazine pouch (Holster must completely cover the trigger & remain open when the handgun is removed.)
800 rounds of factory loaded new ammunition
(This is a minimum)
A minimum of three (3) magazines for your handgun
Back up handgun (BUG) & ammo (If you have one)
Eye/Ear protection. (If you don't have
any we'll provide you with some.)
Dress comfortable for all day outdoors (rain, snow, warm cold, etc)
Cap/hat with bill that covers your eyes
Garment to conceal hangun (if you're not an LEO who uses a duty belt)
Knee pads for kneeling in gravel
Bring your lunch, snacks & drinks for the day
