The intent of this course is to learn how to use a rifle in close range, high speed defensive situations. The focus of this course is on defensive tactics including movement, cover, advanced malfunction clearance etc. If time and weather permits students will have the opportunity to shoot in night fire/low light situations.
Previous defensive rifle training is required for this high speed/low drag course!

You will learn:

• How to correctly "sight-in" your rifle - we will sight in all rifles
  
• The various methods of carry/sling positions
  
• Administrative procedures - the correct process for loading, unloading, & firearm readiness
  
• Basic tactical procedures - combat reload, tactical reload, & reducing stoppages
  
• How to assume rapid shooting positions such as offhand, prone, & kneeling
  
• Various tactical exercises including contact distance out to 25 yards
  
• How to move to the rear and laterally while shooting the rifle in self-defense
  
• How to assume various shooting positions using cover & concealment
  
• Advanced tactics, movement & cover
• Multiple scenarios within an enclosed structure
• Force on Force simulated scenarios using AirSoft technology

Equipment Necessary:

• Semiautomatic, magazine fed, iron sighted rifle with a sling (low power or "red dot" optics are acceptable)
  
• 1200-1500 rounds of ammunition
  
• At least three (3) rifle magazines
• Paint Ball or Air Soft Mask
  
• A handgun, 50 rounds of ammo & belt holster
