Prerequisites: Basic Handgun
Safety course & Defensive Handgun 1 or their equivalent.
This
is strictly a handgun skill building "shooting" clinic. The objective
of this clinic is for you to receive personalized coaching and instruction on
how to improve your handgun accuracy and speed. This is not a tactics course.
So . . .do you want to improve your shot-to-shot time? Do you what to tighten
up those groups? How about improving your combat reloads? What about improving
the speed of your draw? Well . . .this is your course. You'll get an opportunity
to shoot under timed conditions in order to assess your skill and measure yourself
against a personal benchmark. Each student will receive a "pre" and
"post" assessment target measuring their improvement along with a personal
record of their individual timed excerses

in Dry Fire Practice

Range
Exercise include:
Accuracy "Pre-Assessment" prior
to any Individual Coaching/Instruction
Individual Coaching & Instruction
on "Sight Alignment/Picture" and "trigger control"
Improving
Students Groups from 3, 5, 7, & 10 yards
Improving Accuracy from Behind
Cover
Accuracy "Post-Assessment" after Coaching/Instruction (you'll
see measurable improvement!)
Coaching on Improving Individual Students
Speed including; Presentations from the Holster, from the Ready Position, Combat
Reloads, and Clearing a Phase One Malfunction.
Each student will be individually
timed and all times & hits will be recorded. Each student will receive a personalize
document containing their individual scores for the course.
Equipment
Necessary for each individual attending:
- A safe reliable revolver or pistol
- Sturdy holster,
magazine pouch, & belt
- At least 350-400 rounds of reliable ammunition
- Minimum of 3 magazines or speedloaders
- Hearing Protection
and "Safety Glasses." Prescription eyewear is NOT considered
safety glasses!
We will be shooting steel reactive targets and everyone will
wear safety glasses!
- Hat or Cap with a bill
- Lunch,
snacks, beverages, and dress for shooting outdoors
- Knee pads are
optional
